Jacksonville, FL – February 19th, 2026 –At the 76th Annual Meeting of the East, Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC), PERSOWN Connect President Carey Officer and Dr. Deborah Maufi, MD, MPH (Tanzania Strategic Advisor), presented a scalable framework for strengthening primary healthcare systems across the region.
Addressing more than 350 Ministers of Health, Permanent Secretaries, and regional health leaders in Eswatini, the presentation focused on:
- Equipping frontline health workers with AI-supported diagnostics and standardized clinical workflows
- Connecting community-level care to national health information systems for real-time oversight and planning
- Capturing trusted, decision-grade data at the point of care
- Aligning service delivery with structured financing models that expand access without increasing the public wage bill
ECSA-HC, established in 1974, brings together member states including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, Mauritius, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zambia, and Zimbabwe to harmonize health policy and strengthen regional collaboration.
